A space to understand
what keeps you stuck —
and finally shift it.

Compassionate, collaborative therapy for adults.

My approach

Maybe you've been here before — wanting things to be different, trying to create change, and finding yourself back in the same place. Stuck in the same patterns in your relationships, or in the way you feel about yourself, with a sense that no matter what you do, something is keeping you stuck. You might have tried therapy before and found it helpful up to a point — you felt heard, maybe you got some strategies — but nothing really shifted at a deeper level. And that's left you wondering why nothing seems to stick. Why you keep repeating the same patterns. Why change feels so hard when you can see so clearly that something needs to change. If that resonates, the work I do might be different to what you've tried before.

The approach I use is collaborative and tailored to you — a process of understanding what's driving the patterns and finding ways to shift them. Therapy is not about being 'fixed' — it's about creating a space where experiences can be understood, patterns can be gently explored, and new ways of relating to yourself and others can emerge. You are the expert in your own life; my role is to bring psychological knowledge, attunement, and clinical skill into a shared process of understanding and change.

I draw on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, integrating them in a way that is responsive rather than rigid, and individually tailored rather than fixed. This allows therapy to meet you at a deeper level — not just addressing symptoms, but exploring and shifting the patterns, emotional pain, and unmet needs that shape how you relate to yourself and the world around you. For many people, this means moving from self-blame and internal conflict toward curiosity, understanding, and self-compassion.

At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy is most effective in a space that feels human and collaborative — one where empathy, curiosity and genuine connection are prioritised, and where we can move at a pace that feels right for you.

The strongest predictor of a good outcome in therapy is the relationship you have with your psychologist, more than any particular technique. I'd encourage you to make that a priority in your considerations when selecting a psychologist. If it becomes apparent that your needs would be better supported by another practitioner or service, that will be discussed openly and referral options provided.

About me

I am a clinical psychology registrar, meaning I'm completing advanced training under supervision as I work towards endorsement as a clinical psychologist. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across a range of settings. I now focus my private practice work on supporting adults across the full range of mental health conditions, as well as broader life difficulties such as relationship breakdown, life transitions, grief, identity confusion, chronic stress, and more. I have a particular interest in working with the underlying drivers of distress and discomfort, rather than focusing solely on symptom management.

Many people come to therapy sensing that something isn't working for them, even without a clear picture of what that is or how to change it — and that's a completely reasonable place to start.

My clinical style is warm, grounded, and relational. I work collaboratively, paying close attention to the way past experiences, current circumstances, and inner coping patterns interact. I aim to create a therapeutic environment that feels human, steady and supportive rather than clinical or pathologising.

I use an integrative framework, drawing from evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches including:

  • Internal Family Systems
  • Mindfulness and relaxation strategies
  • Schema Therapy
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Psychoeducation

These approaches are adapted to suit the individual rather than applied in a uniform or 'one-size fits all' approach. Which approaches we use, and how, is shaped by your goals, your preferences, and the timeframe we're working within.

Beyond clinical work, I am currently completing my PhD exploring suicide prevention in substance use disorders.

Lived experience

How I practice is shaped not only by professional training, but also by lived experience. This perspective shapes my deep respect for the complexity of recovery, the impact of trauma, and the importance of autonomy, empowerment, and connection in therapeutic work. For me, it reinforces the value of creating human and collaborative therapeutic spaces to explore, soften, and gently find relief from what's been carried for a long time and allow space for something different to emerge.

A little outside the therapy room

Outside of work, you'll often find me intentionally building and protecting a life that supports my nervous system — through quiet routines, reflective time, and environments that feel grounding and restorative. These values also inform the way I approach therapy.

Music and movement have been an important part of my recovery journey and continue to be staples in my life. Music, live music in particular, decorates and creates special moments throughout life and bring joy to ordinary experiences.
